Reflection. 20th July, 2021

1. Our initial idea is based on one of the courses we will study in BA. For example, if we choose Hanwei's menswear design course, our final result will be displayed in the form of clothes, and then I will design the product Some elements are integrated into the design of the clothes.
2. I think Hanwei’s advantage lies in the clothes he makes. He can always make a piece of clothing quickly, and after that, he always has a lot of ideas that can be used on clothes. And I have stronger hands-on ability and logical thinking. I learned a lot of his way of thinking in the process of working with him, which is very helpful for me to develop my thinking to more levels.
3. Today I used a cutting machine in the wood workshop and made a lot of gear models. At the same time, I also used a fire-breathing device in the metal workshop to color the models I made a few days ago. I found that these two workshops are very suitable for me. While I was learning how to use different devices, I was also enjoying the production process.
4. We usually communicate in the form of face-to-face communication, and sometimes draw some sketches to show each other our ideas. I usually record the process of making this work in a notebook.
5. I think we are relatively successful in making various models, and basically they will be presented as planned, because our two majors have requirements for hands-on ability, and then we also have our own ideas about the models we make. So the results are not bad.
6. Since we have had certain ideas about our final outcome from the first day, we have always made models with the initial idea as the goal. In the end, we decided to combine product design and clothing together to make a lamp.
7. I think this museum object has relatively few connections with the works I made in previous projects, but the only certainty is that I have been designing with product design as the center. And in the 4 projects, it is obvious that my design is paying more and more attention to a combination between his functionality and artistic sense.
