When James Faure Walker discovered that he could play some color things with the Apple II, he was fascinated. He thinks this is a gift for abstract painters. This method of creation can be faster than painting with gouache. It surpasses oil paint on canvas because it does not require mixing, drying time, brush cleaning or all of these costs. Abstract painting involves experimentation and adventure, so it can promote the development of art forms. For painters in the traditional sense, using a computer is not just a waste of time, but a new way of creation.

Compared with the new technology itself, it seems to be more related to the failure of imagination and lack of faith in abstract painting as a progressive force.

For a long time, James Faure Walker has felt that what can be done in the painting program is painting. It can shift your thinking to one side, it may take decades to be absorbed and integrated, and be regarded as "normal" like painting.
